Description
The first part of the Silostop System for sealing stored silage and reducing silage loss in the bunker. A thin (45 micron – 1.8 mil) oxygen barrier, impermeable film which prevents entry of oxygen into the silage. Lightweight, strong, easy to use, and cost effective. Distinctive orange color. This film is designed to be put directly over the silage as the first layer of cover, and then this film should be covered with other material to protect it from UV light and physical damage. Allow the film to follow the contours of the silage surface and cling to the surface – do not pull film tight. Helps to reduce dry matter loss and produce higher quality feed. Film can be covered with white/black bunker cover or protective netting (sold separately) which should be weighted down with the Silostop gravel bags (sold separately).
Orange film is slightly thicker and stops more oxygen than clear “clingfilms”
