AUGUSTA TURF is a division of Augusta Cooperative Farm Bureau, Inc, which was formed in 1929 in Weyers Cave, Virginia, and has had its main offices located in Staunton, Virginia since 1931. The Bedford Branch was added in 2000. Branches are also located in Fairfield, Scottsville and Weyers Cave.
AUGUSTA TURF was formed at the Bedford location by the Board of Directors in March 2007, as the result of successful involvement by Field Supervisor, John Hicks, in renovating the stadium field at Liberty High School in Bedford, Virginia in June of 2006. John was instrumental in designing and overseeing the Liberty field renovation. He also realized that there was a need to properly maintain this field to prevent losing the quality achieved by the renovation, and that there was not a service provider available where a field owner could obtain all of the products and services that would be needed.
Our goal is to help athletic field owners provide a safer, better quality playing surface for their players by providing professional sports turf services.
