Augusta Co-Op hands prize to young rider at horse show

A rider young at heart receives recognition for his efforts. This was the horse's first time in a show ring. Both horse and rider competed in several events and had fun!

This young rider waits for the announcement that she is a winner after a fine showing on a horse that she obviously takes great pride in!

The Horse Show returned as an event in the Rockingham County Fair this year after a 20 year hiatus. An enthusiastic crowd was on hand to welcome the event back to the fair. There were many classes that had 10 or more riders competing. By all measures, it was a successful event! Hopefully, the horse show will return to the Rockingham County Fair on a permanent basis.
