Description
Information

Sold by the bag.  A free-choice mineral mix for weaned cattle on pasture weighing 650 - 1300 lbs.  For increased rate of weight gain.  Also contains additional magnesium as an aid in the prevention of grass tetany.  When used as directed, this mineral will provide sufficient (S)-Methoprene insect growth regulator (IGR) to prevent the emergence of adult horn flies from manure of treated cattle.  Existing adult horn flies will not be affected.    This product also features Rumensin (monensin) to help increase weight gain.

  • Contains monensin - 302 g/ton
  • Contains (S)-Methoprene - 0.006541%

Feed at the rate of 5.3 oz per head per day in not less than 1 lb of feed along with good quality pasture or other long-stemmed forage and fresh, clean water to provide 50 mg of Monensin per head per day and 22.7 to 45.4 mg of (S)-Methoprene for 100 lb bodyweight per month.  Start feeding before horn flies appear and continue use until cold weather marks the end of horn fly season.  Introduction of this product after an adult horn fly infestation is established will require treatment of cattle with adulticides if immediate elimination of the adult fly population is desired.

DO NOT allow horses or other equines access to feeds containing Monensin.  Ingestion of Monensin by equines has been fatal.  Do not feed undiluted.  Feeding undiluted or mixing errors resulting in high concentrations of Monensin has been fatal to cattle and could be fatal to goats.  DO NOT feed to sheep or other copper sensitive animals.  A withdrawal period has not been established in preruminating calves.  Do not use in calves to be processed for veal.

Refer to the product label for complete instructions and nutrient analysis.
